BASIC PLUMBING DESIGN II COURSE

TOPICS:

Building off our Basic Plumbing Design I class, where we did some quick broad stroke system layouts and calculations, this Basic II class will be more in-depth towards providing a complete system layout (storm/overflow, sewer/vent, domestic hot and cold water, natural gas), calculations, equipment selections, equipment room layout, etc.  As designer/engineers it is essential when designing a building that we not only drill down into the detail but that we also take a step back and see a global view of our building in relationship with all other trades.  In addition to providing code compliant, well-planned and thought-out plumbing systems that protect the health and welfare of the public and that are owner and maintenance friendly.  In this class we will put pen to paper, taking a building design from start to finish.  We will put more emphasis on the student doing the actual system layouts and calculations.  We will also be looking for trouble spots, pitfalls, and areas where we can improve the system designs.  Full course description below.
